SUMMARY:LIVE MUSIC: The Cody Sisters
DESCRIPTION:The Cody Sisters band is the very heart of contemporary acoustic Folk and Bluegrass music in Colorado\, the United States and the UK. Their propulsive instrumental solos and warm harmonies combine to grip the listener. Along with their bass player Will Pavilonis\, sisters Megan (guitar\, mandolin\, vocals) and Maddie (guitar\, banjo\, vocals) have forged a new sound that has no equivalent match in the acoustic world today.\n\nIn May of 2023\, The Cody Sisters released their self-titled EP marking a new beginning for the band. It is their first release since parting ways with their former image of “young girls in a family band” and it portrays a sense of maturity and musical understanding that reveals a new dimension to their artistic expression. They set out to explore new sounds and styles while still holding true to their bluegrass roots\, and they have done just that. This new music is an invitation to connect\, to feel\, and to journey together through original lyrics and captivating instrumental arrangements.\n\nThe Cody Sisters have a sound that is original\, exhilarating\, and heartwarming all at the same time. With strong ties to traditional American acoustic music\, they continue to stun their audiences both in the US and abroad.

DESCRIPTION:Join us each week on Wednesday for Open Mic Night hosted by Philville Records! \nWith a plethora of entertainment and experiences\, from singer/songwriters and instrumentals to poetry and spoken word — anything goes\, and you never know what (or who!) you might see or hear! Both established and emerging artists in the Chippewa Valley are encouraged to perform! \n🎙️ PERFORMING AT OPEN MIC?\nAll performers get BOGO beers (21+) and no-proof drinks! \n🎙️ EVENT DETAILS:\nArtists will perform on The Lakely Stage\nShowtime is at 7:00 pm\nEveryone is welcome\, and the show is free to attend (but please come thirsty!) \n🎙️ PERFORMER DETAILS:\nArtists will perform on The Lakely Stage \nSign-ups begin at 6:30 pm\n(must be present to sign up – no phone calls\, no friend sign up\, etc.) \nSign-up is first come\, first served \nEach musician gets two songs \nEach performer doing a spoken piece (visual arts\, magic\, poetry\, etc.) gets five minutes. \nPLEASE NOTE: The Lakely reserves the right to stop someone’s performance if they make racist\, sexist\, transphobic\, or homophobic comments. Profanity is not welcome.
