DESCRIPTION:Brittany Ann Tranbaugh (pronounced TRAN-baw) is a Philadelphia-based songwriter whose queer Americana heartbreaker “Kiss You” won Song of the Year in the 2021 John Lennon Songwriting Contest. Tranbaugh has been writing songs and playing shows as a side gig since she was a teenager\, but in February 2023\, at 31 years old\, she finally quit her office job to pursue a full-time career in music. Her newest release is a self-titled EP produced by Grammy-winner Tyler Chester which showcases Tranbaugh in her new era: energetic\, self-assured\, surrounded by her beloved musical community\, and more commanding as a vocalist and writer than ever before.\n\n\nEvery time Sadie Gustafson-Zook (pronounced GUST-of-sin Zook (rhyming with “book”) carves a linoleum block\, sews a pencil case out of scraps\, or admires the way the ink in her Pilot G-2 glides over her journal\, she thinks\, “I should be doing this all the time.” The act of creating something tangible is the air Sadie breathes. Her songwriting is the same- weaving an internal dialogue\, the stories she tells herself\, warm melodies and clever chords into something real\, something she can physically feel with her hands and her throat. And chances are that you’ll be able to feel them too. Sadie’s songs have been endorsed by some of the most respected songwriting contests in the country\, winning Kerrville Folk Festival’s 2022 New Folk Contest (as well as placing as a finalist in 2020)\, earning second place at the Rocky Mountain Folk Fest’s Songwriter Showcase\, and winning first place at the NewSong + LEAF Songwriting Contest. Sadie has been featured on the Basic Folk podcast and on Folk Alley.

SUMMARY:LIVE MUSIC: Gilmore Family Band
DESCRIPTION:Shannon and Jason Gilmore’s musical journey commenced in 2000\, as they shared the stage with The Old Dog Band in Colorado Springs. Their onstage synergy\, Shannon lending her vocals and Jason playing the guitar and mandolin\, laid the foundation for a lasting friendship. Despite Shannon’s departure to her home state of California in 2005\, their bond endured. Meanwhile\, Jason continued shaping his musical path\, contributing his talents to various bands in the Colorado Springs area like Creating a Newsense\, The J.Miller Band\, and Woodshed Red. \nFast forward to 2016\, an opportunity drew Shannon back to Colorado Springs\, rekindling her involvement in the local music scene while owning Rocks Sports Bar & Grill. After more than a decade\, Shannon and Jason seamlessly reconnected\, resurrecting their musical collaboration. Their repertoire expanded across diverse genres—blues\, folk\, rock\, bluegrass\, country\, reggae\, soul\, funk\, and more. \nThe magnetic connection and friendship between Shannon and Jason gradually evolved\, leading to the inception of The Gilmore Family Band in November 2019. Their musical endeavors saw them joining forces with prominent Colorado musicians and\, in 2020\, welcoming John Wise on Bass and Teddy Nazario on Drums\, both esteemed members of the renowned Colorado band\, TRIBE\, solidifying the band’s foundation. \nAfter an incredible two-plus decades of creating musical memories in Colorado\, The Gilmore Family has moved to the driftless plains of Wisconsin. They are gearing up to launch their first album\, “MESS THAT WE MADE\,”  to be released December 23\, 2023. This relocation offers a fresh beginning\, new prospects\, and the joy of being nearer to family. It’s yet another unexpected twist in The Gilmore Family’s musical journey.

He is a multi-instrumentalist and has performed around the country most of his life. Evan is also part of the indie rock band Once More\, Autumn. \nBassist Jeremy Boettcher has toured the world playing various styles of music. He has performed at the prestigious Jazz at Lincoln Center-Doha and Jazz at Lincoln Center-Shanghai. Jeremy has also toured extensively in the band S. Carey. \nYou can expect to hear Evan and Jeremy cover some of your favorite tunes\, both new and old (perhaps with a few surprises along the way)!

Along with their bass player Will Pavilonis\, sisters Megan (guitar\, mandolin\, vocals) and Maddie (guitar\, banjo\, vocals) have forged a new sound that has no equivalent match in the acoustic world today.\n\nIn May of 2023\, The Cody Sisters released their self-titled EP marking a new beginning for the band. It is their first release since parting ways with their former image of “young girls in a family band” and it portrays a sense of maturity and musical understanding that reveals a new dimension to their artistic expression. They set out to explore new sounds and styles while still holding true to their bluegrass roots\, and they have done just that. This new music is an invitation to connect\, to feel\, and to journey together through original lyrics and captivating instrumental arrangements.\n\nThe Cody Sisters have a sound that is original\, exhilarating\, and heartwarming all at the same time.
