ABOUT THE CLASS: This class will cover the basics of royal icing techniques including icing consistencies, outlining, flooding, and marbling. No prior experience or special skills are needed and all materials will be provided. Students will take home 6-8 finished cookies to enjoy, as well as recipes to make the royal icing and cookies at home. Royal icing is a special icing that bakers use made from powdered sugar, water, egg whites, and flavorings. It is easy to make, shelf-stable, and absolutely delicious. It’s also easy to work with and transforms baked cookies into unique pieces of ‘edible art’.
LOCATION: The Gallery inside The Oxbow Hotel in downtown Eau Claire, WI
PRICE: $30 per person, cash only, collected day of the event. Price includes cost of all supplies, 6-8 completed cookies to take home, cookie recipe and royal icing recipe. Gluten free cookies available upon request for $5 more.
