Patrick McCoy is a seasoned singer and songwriter from Menomonie, Wisconsin. Growing up in Minneapolis, he spent late nights tuned into clear-channel AM radio stations like WLAC in Nashville and WLS in Chicago. Those distant airwaves introduced him to the exotic sounds of rhythm & blues, Sun Records rockabilly, and the Chicago blues of legends like Muddy Waters and Howlin’ Wolf-sparking a lifelong love of American roots music. His sound is deeply influenced by the Mississippi Delta, Memphis and Louisville’s jug band traditions, Appalachia, New York’s Tin Pan Alley era, and the heartland legacy of artists like Woody Guthrie & Bob Dylan.
