Aaron Schye is a multi-instrumental, folk-rock musician from Eau Claire, WI known for his eclectic sets, high-energy performances, and charismatic stage presence. From soothing acoustic sweetness to screaming metal solos he is unafraid to challenge the status quo with his “be yourself” attitude towards musicianship. Aaron began his pursuit writing unique acoustic arrangements of classic songs from across the musical spectrum. In time he began composing his own music drawing inspiration from bands like Death Cab for Cutie, Tenacious D, and Iron Maiden. Strongly influenced by his time spent in the mountains of Montana, his music features elements of storytelling, adventure, comedy, tragedy, hope, and horror bridging the genres of folk, progressive rock, and symphonic metal.
Josh Gallagher attended the Berklee College of Music on a full ride scholarship and played in the Brubeck Institute Jazz Sextet. After living in New York City, he returned to Eau Claire. Catch this masterful and swinging pianist in action leading his group.
Songa is a roots folk band led by Mario and Sherry Friedel based in the Chippewa Valley. An acoustic duo weaving a rich sonic tapestry rooted in the heart of Nashville’s songwriting tradition, their music is a soulful blend of folk, blues, country, and jazz, delivered with raw authenticity. With heartfelt lyrics and the harmonies that come from a lifetime of making music together, this will be an intimate night of music to remember. Max Brown is a trombonist, composer, and arranger, who plays music in all styles but mainly focuses on jazz.
Max is currently based in Chicago Illinois and is working his way into the city’s jazz scene. Before moving to Chicago, was living in his hometown; Madison Wisconsin and he is still active in the Madison and Milwaukee scenes.
Max is the band leader of a jazz/original music sextet that has played in venues such as Fulton Street Collective (Chicago IL) and North Street Cabaret in Madison WI. As well as a frequent leader of small groups and sideman in Chicago, Milwaukee, and Madison.
Max has also built a presence in Indiana, where he spent 6 years from 2017-2023. Earning a Masters of Music in Jazz Studies – trombone from Indiana University Jacobs School of Music (Bloomington IN) where he studied with Wayne Wallace, John Raymond, and Tom Walsh. As well as a bachelor’s degree in classical trombone performance from Butler University in Indianapolis.
