Joe Thielen performs in a handful of bands in the Chippewa Valley, including Yam Cannon, Hey Joe, Grodge, and the Sliced Bread Jug Band. In addition to these efforts, He also recently completed an album of solo material at Philville Records, accompanied by members of the Driftless Revelers, and is plotting a release in 2026.
Thielen also enjoys writing and performing acoustic music on patios, porches, living rooms and dank basements. Joe’s original music is an odd combination of Woody Guthrie, The Kinks, The Grateful Dead, The Cure, Boston, and The Velvet Underground, with lyrics sprung from a mind that enjoys meandering through strange spaces. Many people have reported “having a nice time*” or “having fun*” when seeing Joe play music. You and your friends might have a nice time, too.

Dave will be playing a wide variety of folk songs, original tunes and covers carefully crafted from thousands of custom sounds collected and composed on a Roland workstation keyboard. Some of those songs and sounds will be new to folks in this area, and they don’t exist anywhere else.
Other musicians will be joining on guitar and saxophone for an evening of smooth sounds ranging from folk songs and Americana to rock ballads from Bob Dylan, elaborate versions of Pink Floyd songs and The Cars along with classic country from Johnny Cash, The Little River Band and many others, plus a variety of original songs played on custom sounds created to set the mood for each song.
Dave is planning a relaxing and interesting musical experience in surround sound for the evening. Stop on by.
