Based in Wisconsin’s Chippewa Valley, The Double Stops perform a relaxing blend of guitar-centric pop, classic rock, 90s alternative, and vocal jazz. The duo consists of Emily Watkins (guitar/vocals) and Dustin DeGolier (guitar/vocals), both freelance musicians and educators in western WI. Individually, they frequently perform with various ensembles, exploring jazz, rock, country, funk, blues, and original music. Emily and Dustin both serve on the faculty at the Shell Lake Arts Center summer camps.
Matthew R. Sayles is a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and founder of Philville Records, an independent label he formed in 2000 in Marquette, Michigan.
Lifetime musician and writer, Irie, brings her passionate vocals and her lyrical style together to forage a blend of indie pop/rock ballads. Born as Irelyn Ulrich in Madison, Wisconsin, she was thrown into a life of creative thinking from a young age. The daughter of a Creative Writer and English Professor, Irie was raised reading 10 books a night before bed, and her exposure to outside the box thinking from a young age set the stage for her future career as a musician. Inspired by the likes of music icons like Sinead O’Connor and Alanis Morissette as well as more recent stars such as Renee Rapp and Maggie Rogers, Irie never stops writing music. When she isn’t playing music with her friends or waiting tables at The Lakely, she is hunkered down in her living room spinning words and melodies into the perfect arrangement. Studying at UWEC to earn her degree in recording arts and songwriting, she is excited to see where this long and winding road of expression takes her.
This New Year’s Eve, The Lakely is transforming into a 1920s jazz club—glamorous, glittering, and ready to sweep you into the new year in true Art Deco style!
Start your night with a chef-driven five-course prix fixe dinner featuring three stunning menu options: The Golden Ember, The Gilded Pearl, or The Emerald Table (view each menu below, or in our attached graphics).
Two seatings are available—5PM and 7PM—with dinner accompanied by live music from Torbey & Davis from 5:30-9PM.
After dinner, slip into our art deco-inspired Cocktail Parlor in The Oxbow Hotel’s Gallery, enjoy a selection of seasonal craft cocktails, and get ready for the late night entertainment—a big band swing dance celebration to ring in the new year!
Marking 100 years since the publication of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s iconic novel The Great Gatsby, the Tyler Lustek Jazz Orchestra will be swinging with all the big band hits popularized by Duke Ellington, Glenn Miller, Frank Sinatra, and more. Cut a rug with us, and keep your ears peeled – it might even get a little funky! Live music will be from 9PM–12:30AM—with a bubbly toast to ring in 2026!
Expect elegance, excitement, and an evening you’ll never forget.
Make it a night and book a boutique hotel room at The Oxbow Hotel.
Vintage, cocktail, or themed attire is encouraged (but not required).
